A membership card that keeps members showing up

Members don't quit a gym in a day — they stop coming first. Stampaki's membership pass shows status and expiry, records check-ins, and rewards the attendance that keeps people training.

The challenge

The attendance problem

Plastic cards and paper lists

Lost cards, front-desk queues and no reliable attendance data.

Silent drop-off

By the time a membership isn't renewed, the member stopped coming weeks ago.

Renewal confusion

Members aren't sure when they expire; staff check a spreadsheet.

In practice

A member's month

Membership status, check-ins and attendance rewards.

  1. Day 1

    Membership card issued

The card shows the member's name, status and validity date.

  2. Day 9

    Check-in streak

Every scan at the desk records a check-in.

  3. Day 24

    20th workout

A smoothie reward unlocks and is redeemed at the bar.

  4. Day 30

    Renewal reminder

Members whose membership is expiring can be reached by an opted-in campaign.

Suggested program: membership + attendance rewards

The card shows whether the membership is active and until when. Each check-in counts toward attendance rewards, like a smoothie after 20 workouts. Staff extend memberships from the scanner when a member renews.

  • Membership status and expiry on the card
  • Check-in requires an active membership
  • Attendance reward at 20 check-ins
  • Renewal extends from the current expiry

Door to reward

  1. Member joins at the front desk

Their pass replaces the plastic card.

  2. Check-in by QR

Staff scan the pass; inactive memberships can't check in.

  3. Attendance builds

Every check-in counts toward the next reward.

  4. Renewals in one tap

When a member renews, staff extend the membership and the card updates.

Frequently asked questions

Can the pass open the gym door or turnstile?
No. Stampaki doesn't integrate with access-control hardware. Staff scan the pass at the desk.
Does Stampaki take membership payments?
No. You collect membership fees as you do today; staff then extend the membership on the card.
What happens when a membership expires?
The card shows it as expired and check-ins are refused until it's renewed. Attendance progress is kept.
Can members check in at multiple clubs?
Yes. All your locations share one program, and staff access can be limited to their own club.
